Installing Windows Operating System with Mac OS Boot Camp Assistant

Hello everyone, in this post I will explain how to install a Windows operating system on any Mac device using Bootcamp.

Note: The procedures in this article only work on Mac devices with Intel processors!

Required Files

If I need to mention the necessary files first, it is the installation file of any original Windows operating system. (.iso)

Note: Currently, Windows 11 cannot be installed on Mac devices with Bootcamp, but in the future, I will prepare an article explaining how to install Windows 11 via indirect methods.

Anyway, let's get to the main point. Since I will be explaining the installation with Windows 10 in this article, I am leaving the Windows 10 download link provided by Microsoft here.

To go to the Windows 10 ISO download page, click here.

Installation Steps

First, run the program called "Boot Camp Assistant" on your device. To run it, you can search and open "Boot Camp Assistant" in "Launchpad".

When we open Boot Camp Assistant, the first screen that we see will be as below, and it will be sufficient to click the "continue" button here.

Boot Camp Asistan First Page

This page contains an explanation of what Boot Camp Assistant does.

When we proceed to the next page, a page will appear similar to the image below, where we are asked to select a Windows 10 installation file and determine how much disk space we will allocate for Windows.

Here, we select our Windows 10 installation file that we downloaded from the above link, then choose how much space we want to allocate for Windows, and press the "Install" button.

Now we wait for the installation to finish for setup.

At this stage, when it installs the Windows operating system on your device, it downloads many utility tools that will help you, and prepares the system for setup.

When the downloads and setup in this phase are finished, Boot Camp Assistant will automatically direct you to the standard Windows installation section, and now you can proceed as if you are formatting or installing a Windows PC from scratch.

Once your Windows installation process is complete, do not forget to also install the Boot Camp Assistant program on the Windows side from This PC in the Windows operating system!

Note: If your Mac gives a blue screen while installing the Boot Camp Assistant program on the Windows side, this is caused by the Bluetooth driver within Boot Camp Assistant.

Enter the installation folder, delete the Bluetooth driver from there, and try the installation again, now it will be installed without any problems.

After the above steps, you will now have a smoothly running Windows operating system.

Note: According to my research, after installing Windows 10 with Boot Camp, you can update your system to Windows 11 and continue your Windows adventure on Mac with Windows 11 as well.
