Mirror's Edge - Review

Mirror's Edge

Mirror's Edge

If you love parkour games and you don’t want to get into a fight, if you want to escape by running and jumping from building to building no matter how many enemies there are, Mirror's Edge gives you this opportunity. And it does so with nice graphics, vibrant colors, and a pace that never drops.

Mirror's Edge

The only thing you'll do in Mirror's Edge, which has a short playtime, is get into a location, take what you're told to, and try to escape from the resulting chase alive. Of course, while running away you constantly have to think differently and observe your surroundings well. Wrong choices will lead to your death because your health isn’t enough to let you stop and engage in combat—you die from just a few bullets. While running, you can hit weapons out of enemy hands and shoot, but you can’t do this to all of them.

Mirror's Edge

The vibrancy of the colors in the game and the well-reflected atmosphere really draw you into the game. The beauty of the animations and almost non-existent loading times also help you feel immersed. With you constantly in a chase, your main goal is to investigate and clear your sister’s name.

Among parkour games, Mirror's Edge stands out, but it’s not a game you play more than once. Trust me, once you finish it, you won’t come back to play it again and again, but the enjoyment you get from your first run will be enough. This game, which made us enjoy itself even with its flaws, deserved a bit more thought and development—but still, Mirror’s Edge is remembered fondly despite everything.
