I Started a Blog, What Should I Do First?

Change Your Domain Name

When you first create your blog, if you used Blogger, it comes with a standard domain like blogname.blogspot.com. One of the first things you should do is spend a little money and buy a domain like blogname.com.

This will increase your site's value in the eyes of people.

Change Your Theme

The default themes for newly created blogs, whether on Blogger or WordPress, can't exactly be called beautiful. Of course, if you don't care about your blog's appearance, it's not very important, but believe me, if a visitor doesn't like the look of your blog, they won't want to spend much time there.
That's why at the very least, use one of the free themes you can find on the internet.

Share Original Content

Write and share content that you have created yourself and that differs from what is found elsewhere on the internet.
Sites that are not original are pushed to the bottom by Google and are not liked much by visitors.
Just think: you are researching a topic on Google and ten pages have just copied and pasted from each other; how bad is that? You can't learn anything new.

Apply for AdSense

Don't write posts with no clear beginning or end, or without any headings or punctuation. Pay attention to punctuation marks like period, comma, exclamation mark when necessary.
If you are writing a blog in Turkish, at least try to use the language properly as much as you can.

When you open your blog, you can add gadgets to the left or right menu.
You can add anything to these gadgets.
For example, on the right side of my blog, as you can see, I've put the latest post and the most viewed posts of the week.
