What is Google Stadia? What Does It Offer Us?
At the Google GDC (Game Developers Conference) announcement, Google introduced a new gaming platform called Stadia. Stadia's goal is to be a platform for everyone, meaning it aims to be a platform for everyone who plays, watches, and develops games.
Stadia will allow you to play AAA-level games on almost any device with a Chrome browser. Initially, it will provide a gaming experience on desktops, laptops, TVs, Chromecasts, tablets, and phones, so how does it plan to do this?
Because you will play from the browser, you won’t need to deal with downloading, installing, or updating the game. Since the games will be on a cloud system, they will be ready to play. Entering a game on Stadia will take seconds, whereas downloading and installing a game on your system is a time-consuming process. It also aims to eliminate the boring waits caused by excessive updates to some games. At the same time, Stadia will allow us to play games at 4K resolution with HDR and surround sound at 60 fps. Game performance will be at 10.7 GPU Teraflops power. Google announced that they will make a special controller for Stadia to provide the best experience. The controller will feature a Google Assistant button and a quick share button to speed up sharing games. We do not yet know how much this controller will cost or when it will be available for purchase.
Google said Stadia will support cross-platform multiplayer gaming and that hacking and cheating will be difficult or impossible. We will see in the future how accurate these statements are. We don't know what the games will be or how pricing will work. We only know that Doom Eternal can be played.
