What is Microsoft Rewards?
Microsoft Rewards is a loyalty program created by Microsoft, and as you use services developed by Microsoft, it gives you a certain amount of points. With these points, you can choose your desired reward from the Rewards section and use the points you previously earned here to receive your reward.
Additionally, I want to point out that I don't exactly know why Microsoft used Bing in such a system—of course, I can hear you saying it's because it's their own system—but Bing wasn't a very popular search engine in recent times. I guess now Microsoft has decided to try to increase Bing's popularity a bit and started such an event for this reason.
To add to this, since this event started, I noticed that Bing appears with much more and much better results compared to the old days, and has become a more useful search engine than before.
How to Earn Points?
To earn points in Microsoft Rewards, you need to have Microsoft Edge on your computer and use Bing as the default search engine on Edge. After setting these preferences, if you click here and join Microsoft Rewards on the opened page, you can start earning points.
The basic things you can do to earn points are as follows:
- Searching through the browser using Bing.
- Searching using Cortana.
- Searching from the Windows search section and viewing the search results with the browser.
- Playing games on XBox One and completing XBox tasks in these games.
- Following activities on the Rewards page and completing these activities.
