A palindrome is a word whose reading from left to right and from right to left is the same.
One of the first sources where the word palindrome appears is Pythagoras' work called "The Golden Verses".

What is a Palindromic Number?
A palindromic number is a number that remains the same when its digits are reversed. In other words, it has reflection symmetry along a vertical axis. The palindromic concept derives from the palindrome concept.
