What is Puppet Combo?

 Puppet Combo

Originally and formerly known as Pig Farmes Games, he is a solo video game developer. His real name is Benedetto "Ben" Cocuzza. He creates games by mixing PS1 and PS2 horror games with low-budget slasher films of the 70s and 80s. When you look at the graphics, they may really look bad, but you shouldn't forget that this is a retro genre; in our time, I can say that making this kind of game is actually harder than making high-graphic ones. After all, you have many options to make something better, but making something worse genuinely requires effort.

He opened his Patreon account in 2017. You can buy his games on Steam, from his own website, and via Patreon. As of 2019, he started publishing other developers' games on his Patreon. In June 2020, he founded a horror publishing company called "Torture Star" and began promoting and publishing games of other small indie game developers. He has published a total of 7 games, with 5 already released. Puppet Combo himself has released 17 games in 9 years, and with 6 more currently in development, he has a total of 23 games. There are 2 more game projects planned for this year.

Most Puppet Combo games can be scarier and more challenging than you expect. While playing or watching, you could swear you take psychological damage, but you can't prove it. You feel the fear in all your cells. What I love even more than the scary elements of movies and games is the tension. And in Puppet Combo games, there is a high level of tension all the time. Once you get introduced to these games and Puppet Combo, you become addicted, wanting to play another of his games. Generally, there are games where you try to escape from a killer, and sometimes you are the killer. Although the overall stories are short, the game manages to draw you into the atmosphere. You can completely change your visual style, like playing entirely in black and white tones or in the default way. There is a setting that turns your screen into a wavy and snowy (static) screen (VHS), which might be my favorite. Because I don't know anything that maximizes tension and fear like it does. However, such settings can slightly block your view, making some objects harder to see - just a heads up. If you don't want to be too scared or stressed, it's better to keep it normal, but I still think even that won't be enough to relax you. Since the games are sold in dollars on their own site, they might look a bit expensive, but if you have the chance, you should definitely buy and try. The prices vary between 2.95 and 4.95 USD. On the Patreon account, with a monthly membership of 5 USD, you can download an additional game, and with a monthly 10 USD membership, you gain access to all Puppet Combo games.
