     When it comes to World War II themed strategy games, the first game that should come to your mind—and one that deserves it—is CoH 2. This game doesn’t just make us fight the enemy, but also wants us to battle against nature. Sudden snowstorms can cause your soldiers to freeze to death. As you move your tanks over a frozen river, the ice might break and your tank could sink into the icy water. They call this blizzard system Cold Tech.

     So, we can see something in this game that we don’t usually see in strategy games. What is it? Of course, the fact that you have to factor in environmental conditions while fighting. The game’s sound and effects are enough to immerse you in the battlefield, but you’ll barely have time to breathe if you are fighting someone who plays well, because every second is precious. Instead of having larger armies, your chances of winning increase depending on your skills and speed.

Company

     Another system added to the game is True Sight. In short, you can only see as much as your soldiers can see. If you’re stuck in a snowstorm, your field of view becomes very short and you start to see nothing at all.

     I can say without hesitation that it has a multiplayer mode that is better than its story. In the story mode, we play as Russia against the Germans. The cutscenes are not very appealing, don’t pay too much attention to them. You have to love the rose with its thorns. Also, it’s not just these two nations—you can get other countries with expansion packs. We are starved for games without DLCs, but I won’t voice this complaint in a game like CoH 2 that absorbs you so much when playing against your friends.
