Connecting a HDD to Android Phone (NTFS)
Hello friends, in this article I will explain how you can connect an HDD to an Android phone.Since HDDs generally come in NTFS format, sometimes they may not be recognized when connected to the phone. Fortunately, there are solutions for such situations.
I will explain how you can connect your HDD to your phone using 2 different methods.
1. Method: Formatting the HDD and Making it ExFat
In my opinion, the simplest method is, if the HDD you will use on your phone is empty, you can format it and make it exFat, so you can connect it to your phone.Your HDD in ExFat format will be visible on all systems, not just your phone. Therefore, exFat actually has many advantages.
You can format your HDD to exFat by selecting exFat either on your phone or on your computer.
2. Method: Using as NTFS
With this method, you do not need to format your HDD, but you cannot connect directly using this method. With the help of a few auxiliary programs, you make it possible for your phone to read it.Of course, sometimes problems can occur while using this method. For example, if you want to watch movies, I personally experienced issues such as not being able to watch 2-3 movies in a row.
Additionally, I should mention that this method is a paid method.

After downloading the above programs, we connect our HDD device to our phone with the OTG cable and enter the Microsoft exFat/NTFS program, select the HDD and press the mount button.
Then the OPEN option will become active next to it. When you click there, Total Commander File Manager will open and now you can access the data you want.
