Darkest Dungeon
Thanks to Darkest Dungeon, we have witnessed another successful production from Kickstarter. Darkest Dungeon, one of the darkest and most challenging examples of roguelike games (where you can't bring back your dead character), contains many more features waiting to be discovered by you.
The features come with the new characters you will add to your team. You hire these unique characters who come to your town, each with different classes and abilities. As you go into dungeons, you get to know those fighting by your side better and begin to understand what abilities you need in which situation, but if you make wrong choices, there is also a chance to lose that character before you really get to know them. If you want to form closer bonds with the characters you hire, you can give them the names of your acquaintances. However, when you enter the dungeon and that acquainted-named character at your side approaches death, you will be at a loss for what to do, and after the first few hours of the game, those names will start to fill the town graveyard, leaving you with a tear and the reality that you need to hire other characters and keep struggling.

You enter the dungeon with your four-person squad of your choice and perform attacks with a turn-based combat dynamic. Everything becomes important for their survival, from which character is at the front or back to what abilities they have. Since there are also factors that change the order of you or your opponents in combat, sometimes no matter how much you try, you can't prevent certain things; all you can do is try to get out of that situation losing as little as possible.
Every dungeon in the game is randomly generated so forget about memorizing dungeons. I prefer these kinds of games because the pleasure and experience we get from the game is greater. However, whatever time you spend in the dungeon, you sometimes spend the same or even more time in your town. Not every building in the town is open at the beginning; you unlock them. With the money you earn, you not only deal with the characters but also have to develop the town, because sometimes your characters need certain buildings before they go to the dungeons.
The psychology of the characters is also very important in Darkest Dungeon. Every minute, even second spent in the dungeon with your equipment and items affects the psychology of the group members. If you ask what kind of psychological effects; there are many things that affect you as psychological effects such as stress bar, hunger, darkness, situation during combat and when a character of yours is on the brink of death. Although sometimes there are effects like being hyped or getting a buff, you can be sure you'll mostly see negative outcomes. Just like you have your phobias or can be in a bad mood, the same goes for characters in Darkest Dungeon; at the most unexpected moment, the character you called your strongest can reveal a hidden phobia and become nearly useless during that fight, bringing down the team's morale. Be prepared for such moments.
Darkest Dungeon, which is a 2D game, is greatly loved by players who enjoy challenges and continues to be loved and played. Darkest Dungeon, which houses many game genres in itself, seems to continue to make a name for itself for years to come. It's deserved, after all, as they've managed to combine RPG, roguelike, strategy, and many more genres in its unique way. If you like games this difficult and have not played yet, Darkest Dungeon is absolutely a game you should try.
