 The interface is quite comfortable and understandable, but also full of minor details. When you first enter, you will struggle since you won't know what to do, but if you don't give up you will get used to it.  The importance of diplomacy sometimes surpasses even trade. You can keep good relations with minor nations and make them your vassals, or take powerful allies by your side and declare war on big nations together—be careful though, sometimes your friends may not want to enter wars with you. Casus belli for wars can be claims to provinces, insults, through missions, or sometimes just an ideology. Your wars should always have justifiable causes, otherwise you'll lose many things at the start of war and trying to get them back will tire you greatly. You can support rebels within your enemies or interfere in their administration.

 With geographical discoveries, you can establish colonies, and these colonies will greatly strengthen you. There are weak tribes around areas eligible for colonization, so colonizing is not too difficult. However, be quick, as other countries will also enter the colonial race.

 Regarding trade, you should pay attention to which trade centers you own and how much money your merchants collect or transfer. You can also increase income by protecting trade routes with ships. As history progresses and different goods and trade routes appear, you need to build buildings and develop your country so that your income doesn't suffer a decline.

 The game features 3 types of points (administrative, diplomatic, and military), which are used for technological improvements and to unlock new idea groups (policies). These points come from the leader’s abilities and from advisors you hire. If you want to increase your monthly point income, you have to hire more expensive advisors. In short, you need a strong economy for a strong country.

 Don't forget to assign a general to your armies, otherwise a huge army can disappear in an instant, leaving you wondering what you've done. Ottoman generals are so good that they can challenge armies twice their size.

 You shouldn't expand your lands excessively all at once, otherwise people from different cultures may revolt, other countries might form alliances and attack you, and if you also took too much money when acquiring provinces, inflation increases and your money loses value. You must manage your manpower well during wars, or you may run out of soldiers right in the middle of war. Also be careful in diplomatic deals at the end of wars—instead of directly taking land, there could be better options you can demand from the defeated country.

 You can play the game with any country you want, even with a random tribe, but I suggest not trying that before you get used to the game, otherwise you might grow to dislike it. In short, if you like strategy games, you must try it. It will tire you until you learn, but after you master it, you won't want to leave it.
