KurtzPel - Review

KurtzPel

A game that can be called a very strange mixture, played online. In general, although the game's anime-style graphics have won my heart, I can say that it is a game that hasn't quite found its footing yet. Also, with every update, instead of making the game better, it seems like they are making it worse.

I started playing the day the game was first released, downloaded it via Steam and played it. I had dropped many costumes and so on, the drop rates for costumes were about 0.1%, and it really took 100 - 200 matches to get just one cube, and we prayed with my friend for a costume to come out of that cube.
Anyway, I played for nearly 60 hours and I truly enjoyed it while playing.

The game is basically a game that tries to combine the Pvp and Dungeon system. The game actually tries to appeal to both Pvp and Pve players, and such a game emerged as a result. In the game, you can either enter PvP battles or do Dungeons and play the game.

In the PvP part, you fight online with other players, while in the Dungeon part, you only fight against the Boss and NPCs that appear before you.
There is no item system in the game like in Metin2 or other PvP games, meaning it's not a pay-to-win game where those who spend money always win. You can only buy appearances, just like in League of Legends.

There are abilities called karma in the game and a player can use 2 karmas at the same time, and these karmas are actually like the classes we know from other games. (Archer, mage, sword, dual swords...)

When the game first came out, we started with 4 karmas and unlocking others was very difficult; you had to pay real money (or play for a very long time), but now this has changed, and a leveling system has been brought to karmas. You can unlock karmas very cheaply and start playing, or you can pay a bit of money to start your karma at a higher level. For now, karmas in the game can go up to level 5 at most, and if you pay money, your karma starts from level 4, not level 1.
I like this karma system, and being able to change karma anytime in-game is really nice.

If I were to talk about how to increase your character's power in the game, on the items there are special stat boosts just like the "efsuns" in Metin2, and you need to configure them according to your character's, or rather, your karma's needs... Like archer players going for physical crit. You customize these stat boosts on your items by changing them with stones.

They also made these stat boosts into levels, for example a level 1 stat gives you 0.25% crit rate, while a final level stat gives about 1.5% crit rate, and considering there are a lot of items in the game, you can reach 100% crit with your karma's features.

Anyway, the game is really a hack and slash style with jumping and dodging, and I actually liked this game a lot.

Also, when the game first came out, we could sell the items we dropped in the game via Steam, but with the latest update, this feature has been removed from the game, and of course, for players like us, that was unfortunate. Now, with the marketplace system they have added to the game, players can trade with each other.

Also, one of the features that existed in the game at the beginning but is no longer is that you could talk to NPCs, build friendship levels with them, and increase your karma this way, and also win items from those NPCs. Now, this system has also been removed.

Also, when the game first came out, it had a day-night cycle in the game, but this has now also been removed. Yes, as I said, with updates the game is regressing, but it is still a really nice game to spend time on.

Additionally, the game is still in the Alpha stage, we don't know what kind of innovations will come to the game in the future, perhaps they will surprise us with something even better.

My score for this game:  🎮🎮🎮🎮🎮
