Spyro Reignited Trilogy - Review
Spyro Trilogy
Hello friends, in this post I will talk about a game trilogy I recently finished. The name of our game is Spyro.Since Spyro is an old game, they have renewed the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd games and released them again under the name Spyro Trilogy.
The aim in all three of these games is to collect all the gems found on the map and also find other lost items given to us. (In the 1st game, rescuing dragons that have turned to stone, in the 2nd game, finding objects called orbs, and in the 3rd game, finding newly born dragons (eggs))
Although the goal is that simple, the maps and gameplay mechanics really provide us with a fun time. I did not play the original version, but I played the remastered version for nearly 50 hours with great enjoyment, and since I still haven’t completed all levels 100%, I look like I will keep playing.
When you find the gems and the missing items in the game, the map becomes 100% and you can consider that map completed. To unlock the other maps, for some levels you need a certain number of gems, and for others you need to reach a number of lost items, so for you to unlock all the maps, you need to have completed at least one map to 60% completion.
To fully complete the game, you have to 100% all the maps. Actually, when you complete all the maps 100%, bonus maps are unlocked for you on the last map of the game and you can enter those.
These bonus maps give you extra rewards like more gems.
The Spyro series is really a very beautiful game in its remastered form. You play with a cute little dragon, and with this dragon, you can burn sweet little sheep in the environment or resist the evil wizard, or even roll around in the grass.
My favorite thing about the game is that, even though it has such a simple concept, every map is designed really beautifully and in detail; they've hidden the gems so well, and finding these gems can be quite challenging. As such, the game becomes really fun. Also, the fact that it is composed of three games and none of these three games completely repeat one another really makes the game great.
Unlike other game series where they just improve the graphics and offer the same mechanics every time, there isn’t a structure here; with each new game, they've added a new mechanic and been able to present this new mechanic to the player in a really nice way.
Spyro 1
In the first game, our goal is completely to wander around and, by passing the map’s platforms, to find the gems hidden all over the map and also to rescue all the dragons the evil wizard has turned to stone.
Other than that, the first game does not have many details; what we do is very clear. By visiting all the villages, we find the hidden gems in their related sub-maps. In addition, there are also flying maps. In these maps you complete objectives such as shooting down helicopters or flying through rings.
You can do these objectives one by one in the flying map, but if you do them all in a single run without running out of time, you’ll get extra gems. If you can’t do them all in one go, you cannot complete that map at 100% anyway.
Spyro 2
With Spyro 2, they added some abilities to the game. Endurance, flying for a certain time... You get these abilities temporarily by passing through a gate that opens after you defeat a certain number of enemies on the map.
With these special abilities, some differences appear in the map design. They’ve put gems in places you can only reach by flying, and you need to collect these.
Additionally, there are secret walls in the second game and inside these walls extra sections are hidden.
Spyro3
In Spyro 3, you try to find the eggs, and in addition to the second game, this time some maps have special doors, and in order to pass through these doors, you must unlock the other characters added to the game. After unlocking these characters and passing through these doors, you can start to use them and this allows you to 100% the maps.
The fact that this game develops by adding unique characteristics in every level really pleased me, and every level has its own unique fun.
I really had fun while playing the game.
My Score for the Game: 🎮🎮🎮🎮🎮
