When you are trapped in the freezing cold, you remember that you have a stronger enemy than predators or hunger. The Long Dark, which brings a new breath to the survival genre, has become one of the productions that saved us from survival games full of similar zombies. And thank goodness it did. It made us fall in love with its beautiful graphics and uniqueness. Wherever you play, you’ll start to feel cold as soon as you get in the game. 

    I’d say don’t jump straight into sandbox mode because surviving in the cold is pretty tough. If you start with the story mode, the game teaches you itself and helps you quite a bit. Of course, as you learn, you'll survive more easily, but never forget—if predators like wolves or bears find you, you'll get injured and your chances of survival will drop a lot. 

    The weight you carry in the game slows you down, so when you're stuck in a storm, you can't run fast enough to a shelter, and facing a cold death is a matter of moments. What I’m saying is, the game has fine details, and the fine line between life and death is in those details. 

    Thanks to its atmosphere, game experience, and the freedom it offers in sandbox mode, it can be played for hours. No matter what anyone says, The Long Dark, which brought a new breath to survival games, is a successful production and a game with a future. If you like this genre, if you enjoy struggling against tough conditions to survive, I recommend you add such a beautiful game to your life.
