Warhammer 40K: Space Marine

Leader of the Ultramarine 2nd squad Captain Titus and his comrades-in-arms are sent to slow down the Ork attack on the Imperial Forge World, and that's where the story begins. Suddenly, everything gets chaotic and you start slashing every Ork in your way or killing them from a distance with your weapon. Just like in the game, we can use both melee and ranged weapons in succession and the combat mechanics are very well set up. Our melee weapons; Combat Knife, Chainsword, Power Axe, or Thunder Hammer. The ranged weapons need to be considered in two categories: light and heavy weapons. Our light weapons; Bolt Pistol, Bolter, Plasma Pistol, Kraken Bolter. Our heavy weapons; Stalker Bolter, Vengeance Launcher, Melta Gun, Storm Bolter, Lascannon, Plasma Gun.

If you get bored of long-range combat on the battlefield or need to jump into the midst of Orks, you run in and join the fray. When you start taking damage, it will first deplete your armor's energy (this energy refills), and when your armor's energy runs out, then your actual health begins to decrease. You can refill this health either by making finishing moves (I liked the animations) or by activating the Fury mode. Until Fury mode expires, you become extremely powerful. If you aim (zoom) with your weapon during this mode, you activate Marksman mode. In this mode, slow motion occurs. Let me tell you before you learn the hard way: you need to use Fury mode against powerful enemies. Another thing I enjoyed using in the game is the Jet Pack. You can leap into the air and land on your enemies' heads, you can shoot them while in the air, but we don't use it much in story mode. If you don't like the final fight, don't worry—most people think the same as you.

Even though the story wants us to progress in a single path, it is fluent and includes a lot of action. I liked the graphics, sounds, armor-drawings of the characters, the effects in the game, but a problem that appears in most games is also present here. The artificial intelligence seems directly artificial rather than intelligent. I'm not just saying this for the Orks we fight, but also for our allies who fight alongside us. Don't frown at the game because of a single problem because the multiplayer part is fun. I recommend playing both the multiplayer and the story part.

My score for the game: 🎮🎮
