XCOM 2 - Review
XCOM 2
We have lost the war in the previous game of the series, XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Enemy Within, and the XCOM project has failed. Few people from the old team have survived, and they are in hiding. The aliens, on the other hand, have slowly started to take over the world with cliché statements like “We came for peace.” The hidden XCOM soldiers will carry out another operation 20 years later and we will be the commander who manages the unit once again. However, we will continue to fight from the shadows, in secret.
We are on the hidden side, the ones making the attacks. Since the aliens are defending places where they are already settled, it's now easier for them to call reinforcement troops. Be careful, enemy reinforcements may suddenly appear on you. There is also a time limit for the missions; you must finish the mission before passing a certain number of turns. Usually, missions involve rescuing someone or hacking somewhere. After completing the mission, you need to take your soldiers to the evacuation point.

This time, in order to lose the game, the aliens need to complete the "Avatar Project". By completing missions, we prevent them from finishing this project. This is a more difficult XCOM game, improved and enriched in every way compared to the series’ previous game. For example, the character classes have changed and are now better. The character creation menu has become even broader. Another thing you will immediately notice is that our small alien friends, the sectoids, from XCOM Enemy Unknown have grown up and taken on a more upright posture. Not only physically, but they have also developed their psychic powers.

The increase in alien varieties is also quite good, since battling against a small range of enemies constantly would make us use the same tactics over and over. That's why we need to have different types of enemies to apply different tactics. These varieties are just a few of the innovations in the game. Rest assured, you couldn’t finish talking about the game even if you tried. I can say that we are confronted with a deeply designed and well-made XCOM game. The interface is mostly the same, with minor changes. You also need to spend a bit of money to play. Whether it's worth its price or not, that's up to you. If you are a follower of the series or you like this type of game, it is worth it. XCOM 2 is definitely among my recommendations.
My score for the game: 🎮🎮🎮
